A very inspirational poem by Harivansh
Rai Bacchan "koshish karne walon ki
haar nahin hoti". It's about trying
until you succeed. The peom says
that people who try to achieve
what they want diligently
they never lose.
KOSHISH KARNE WALON KI HAAR NAHIN HOTI
Lehron se Darkar nauka par nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hoti
Nanhi cheenti jab daana lekar chalti hai,
chadhti deewaron par, sau bar phisalti hai.
Man ka vishwas ragon mein saahas bharta hai,
chadhkar girna, girkar chadhna na akharta hai.
Akhir uski mehnat bekar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hoti.
**(Ship won't reach it's destination if it fears the tide.
Ant takes it's food and fall n number of times from
the wall. Ant believes that it can climb the wall
that makes it brave. Ups and downs doesn't stop it.
Finally ant's hardwork doesn't go waste and it
reaches it's destination. People who try never fails.)
Dubkiyan sindhu mein gotakhor lagata hai,
ja ja kar khali haath lautkar aata hai
Milte nahi sahaj hi moti gehre paani mein,
badhta dugna utsah isi hairani mein.
Muthi uski khali har bar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahi hoti.
**(When deep sea driver goes in search of pearl into
the sea and returns back empty handed. Next day
he goes in double excitment because he knows
that it won't happen always that he will return empty
handed. People who try never fails.)
Asaflta ek chunauti hai, ise sweekar karo,
kya kami reh gayi, dekho aur sudhar karo.
Jab tak na safal ho, neend chain ko tyago tum,
Sangharsh ka maidan chhodkar mat bhago tum.
Kuch kiye bina hi jai jaikar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hoti.
**(Failure is a challenge, accept it.
Find out what went wrong and improvise.
Until you succeed, don't rest.
Don't run away from the ground of struggle.
Remember you won't receive praises
without doing anything. People who try never fails.)
